Popular Nigerian skit maker Zicsaloma has shared his reasons for undergoing rhinoplasty, a surgical procedure to reconstruct the nose.
Recall that Zicsaloma underwent the surgery in Turkey in January 2025, with the goal of reshaping his nose.
Following the procedure, he has been documenting his recovery process, sharing updates and videos along the way.
Videos which have attracted criticism from online users.
BbNaija Kassia also criticized him, advising people to ask for their partner’s throwback photo before saying yes.
According to her, this is necessary to avoid any surprises in the future, especially with the increasing trend of surgical enhancements.
In her words:
“Before you say “I do,” make sure to ask for a throwback photo from 10 years ago! With all these surgical upgrades, you need to know who you’re really signing up for. You don’t want to be left wondering why your kid looks like a stranger. Check the receipts before the vows.”
Reacting to the criticisms in a recent YouTube video, Zicsaloma explained that he had the procedure done to fulfill a childhood desire to reshape his nose.
The content creator revealed that he had faced ridicule since childhood due to his flat nose, which led to his insecurities and a desire to make a change.
Zicsaloma highlighted that his decision to undergo rhinoplasty was aesthetic, driven by his personal desire to address his insecurities.
In his words:
“Some people undergo rhinoplasty because of breathing problems, while others do it because they don’t like the shape of their nose—like me. In my case, it is aesthetic.
“Right from childhood, I have always wanted to reconstruct my flat nose. I was constantly ridiculed. People said my nose was too ugly and too big. So, if you don’t have the money or the courage to correct your insecurities, that doesn’t mean you should judge another person.”
