Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, widely known as Odumeje, has triggered reactions on social media after he described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as “a businessman rather than a president.”
In a viral video, the controversial cleric, often referred to as “Indaboski,” emphasized that genuine leaders are those who prioritize national development and the well-being of their citizens.
He contrasted Tinubu with global figures such as former U.S. President Donald Trump, Burkina Faso’s Ibrahim Traoré, and China’s Xi Jinping, whom he hailed as examples of leaders dedicated to building their countries.
Odumeje also took a swipe at Nigeria’s political elite, accusing them of focusing solely on acquiring wealth for their families while abandoning the nation’s growth.
Lamenting the state of the country, he argued that although Nigeria is often called the “Giant of Africa,” it has instead become what he bluntly described as a “giant of failure.”
His words:
“I don’t know who’s calling Tinubu president. Tinubu is just a businessman. If you want to talk about a president, call Trump, Ibrahim Traoré, Xi Jinping, and many others, they are all true leaders. Leaders are people who develop their country so that their children and citizens can benefit, but the ones we have in Nigeria are busy acquiring wealth for their own children. Nigeria is a giant of f@ilure not a Giant of Africa.”
