Eight members of the House of Representatives from Kano State on Tuesday, announced their official defections from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Their defection was announced during a plenary presided over by the House Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas.
The lawmakers in their separate letters cited internal crisis within their parties for the defection.
NOP NIGERIA reports that their defection was witnessed by Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf, the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, former Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, and many others.
