He re- affirmed his decision to contest for the governorship seat, saying he didn’t come to the contest to divide the people of Adamawa but to unite the state and bring his over 30 years of experience in public service to bear in the governance, politics and development trajectory of the state.
” I did not come with noise, I did not come with insults, I did not come with divisions. I came with experience, with sincerity and with a heart ready to serve if given the opportunity to flag the party ticket, ” he said.
He promised to unite the people of the state beyond tribe and religion adding that he would also prioritised youth employment and empowerment, strengthen education, agriculture, rural infrastructure, health care delivery system, attract investment and job creation among others.
He also promised to run an open and transparent government anchored on justice, fairness, accountability and respect for the party structure with the view to carry party leaders and other stakeholders along.
On his part, the newly elected party chairman, Hon. Hamza Bello Madagali, thanked him for the visit and assured him and all the party aspirants of their commitments to provides a level playing field to all aspirants.
