2027: ‘With Obi-Kwankwaso’s Ticket, Election Will Be Over By 12pm’ – Tanko

National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement Dr. Yunusa Tanko

The National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, Yunusa Tanko, has expressed optimism that the 2027 presidential election will be over by 12 noon with the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket.

NOP NIGERIA reports that Tanko made this known during an interview on ‘Politics Today’, a programme on Channels Television, while reacting to a remark by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain, Dele Momodu, regarding preference for an Atiku-Obi ticket.

Asked about the prospects of the ADC ahead of the 2027 general election, Momodu, in an interview, expressed support for a potential alliance between former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and 2023 presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi.

He said, “I’d pair him (Atiku) with Peter Obi because they worked together in 2019, so they already share a similar temperament. Peter Obi came third in the last election, so you don’t have to work too hard to maintain and attract the same group of people who love him.”

In response to Momodu’s choice, Tanko questioned, “Do you want to choose someone who’ll win the primary and lose the election?

Tanko maintained that with Peter Obi and the former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, the ADC will secure victory in the 2027 election.

He added, “If the ADC doesn’t zone the presidency to the South, the party will lose the election. With an Obi-Kwankwaso ticket, the election will be over by 12 pm.”
