Reacting to a Federal High Court judgment in Abuja, Salihu .... expressed dissatisfaction with what he described as contradictory positions taken by the judiciary in similar cases involving the party.
He referenced an earlier ruling where a suit filed .... by Dumebi Kachikwu was dismissed on the grounds that it concerned internal party matters, which courts typically avoid interfering in.
Highlighting this perceived inconsistency, Salihu asked, “Why should a court that dismissed the case of Dumebi Kachikwu, today not see what played out as an internal affair of the party?” He argued that such conflicting judgments could create confusion within the political system and undermine confidence in legal processes.
The ADC chieftain maintained that party structures and leadership decisions remain internal mechanisms guided by the party’s constitution. He stressed that external interference, especially through the courts, should be limited to preserve democratic principles.
Salihu further noted that the party would continue to seek legal clarity while remaining committed to due process.
