A respected academic and public affairs analyst, Dr. Auwal Ibrahim of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), has described Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti as the most competent and result-driven governorship aspirant capable of repositioning Bauchi State for sustainable growth in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at a retreat organised by Bala Wunti Support Organisation (BWSO) yesterday, Dr. Ibrahim expressed strong confidence in Dr. Wunti’s leadership capacity, noting that his track record in public service, strategic management and human capital development clearly distinguishes him from other contenders in the race.
According to him, Bauchi stands at a critical juncture where visionary leadership, administrative competence and a deep understanding of governance are urgently required—qualities he said Dr. Wunti embodies.
“Dr. Bala Wunti possesses the experience, exposure and integrity needed to move Bauchi State to the promised land. His leadership style, anchored on inclusivity, accountability and innovation, makes him the most qualified candidate to address the developmental challenges confronting the state,” he stated.
He noted that such high-level experience has equipped him with the technical expertise and global perspective necessary to attract investments, improve infrastructure and stimulate economic growth in Bauchi State.
Dr. Ibrahim further emphasised that Dr. Wunti’s commitment to youth empowerment, education and economic diversification aligns with the pressing needs of Bauchi’s growing population.
He pointed out that Wunti’s passion for capacity building and job creation would significantly reduce unemployment and enhance livelihoods across the state.
“Bauchi needs a leader who understands both policy and people. Dr. Wunti has demonstrated, over the years, an uncommon ability to translate ideas into tangible outcomes. His emergence will usher in a new era of purposeful governance, infrastructural renewal and inclusive development,” he added.
He therefore called on stakeholders, political actors and the people of Bauchi State to rally behind Dr. Wunti’s vision, stressing that his candidacy represents a credible pathway to accelerated development, improved service delivery, and a prosperous future for all.
Also echoing Dr Ibrahim’s position, a prominent political advocate, Haris Hardo, has made a decisive call for the people of Bauchi State to support Dr Bala Wunti for the governorship in 2027, describing his candidacy as a vital opportunity to reposition the state on a path of sustained economic growth and modernisation.
Hardo argued that Dr. Wunti possesses the rare combination of global influence and local empathy required to address the state’s most pressing existential challenges.
He noted that Wunti’s extensive international connections are positioned to serve as a catalyst for economic diversification, capable of attracting foreign investments that would lead to large-scale job creation for unemployed youths and the development of critical infrastructure.
Beyond economic metrics, Hardo emphasized Dr. Wunti’s established reputation for integrity and patriotism.
He pointed to Dr Wunti’s long history of humanitarian and philanthropic initiatives as evidence of his commitment to the welfare of the people.
These programmes, according to Hardo, have already transformed the lives of many citizens who had previously lost hope, providing essential empowerment opportunities for women and the elderly.
Hardo said Dr. Wunti’s leadership competence and disciplined approach to duty make him the most suitable candidate to lead the state.
He maintained that a Dr Wunti-led administration would not only bridge the gap in basic amenities but would also execute strategic developmental projects designed to ensure Bauchi thrives as a hub of progress and social stability in the coming years.
