Wilfred Ndidi has been ruled out following a hamstring injury sustained in Besiktas JK’s Istanbul derby against Fenerbahce SK on Sunday.
The Super Eagles captain was substituted in the 85th minute after picking up the injury. Earlier in the match, he received a yellow card in the 52nd minute, his fourth of the season in the Turkish Super Lig, which also results in a suspension for this weekend’s clash with Alanyaspor.
Besiktaş has confirmed that Ndidi has started treatment under the supervision of the club’s medical staff.
The 29-year-old is expected to spend some time on the sidelines, dealing a notable setback for the team as they prepare for upcoming fixtures.
