College of Education matriculates 342 students, warn against malpractices

Federal College of Education Gidan Madi in Sokoto state  Wednesday matriculated 342 students for this year’s academic session

Speaking during the ceremony held at the premises of the college in Gidan Madi, headquarters of Tangaza local government, Provost of the college, Dr. Malami Muhammad, warned students against examination malpractice noting that the institution has zero tolerance of such offences.

” This college has zero tolerance for exam malpractice, immorality, indecency, as well as other social vices in campus. If you are found guilty of any of these vices you will be suspended or expelled.

“You have come here to study and prepare yourself for a greater tomorrow, pay serious attention to why you are here.

“We extol obedience, sincerity humility, perseverance, and hard work. You are to be guided by these attributes as professional teachers in the making,” the Provost stated

Dr. Muhammad further said the matriculated students were admitted into the two schools of Science Education and Vocational, Technical Education.

He expressed hope that  additional schools such as school of social sciences and arts would be established in order to admit more students.

The Provost commended President Bola Tinubu for his support to the college, which he said, had led to improved academic activities, admission quota and course accreditations.

Also speaking, chairman College Governing Board, Dr Abdullahi Adamu. congratulated the newly admitted students and urged them to consider their status as a great privilege.

”Many applied, but few were admitted, the rigorous process you have undergone to gain admission was not easy, so, you have to celebrate and rejoice as today’s event crowns the end of your admission process and enrollment into the institution, ” Adamu said.
