Wow… wow… wow… how time truly flies!

My earliest memories of you go back to a time long before the noise of social media, a simpler, quieter era. Even now, one of my twins reminds me of you in so many ways, and it always brings a smile to my face.

Today, my heart is full of gratitude to God that we are both here, standing on this side of eternity, celebrating your 60th birthday together.

What you were then and what you have become now still amazes me. It is a journey I sometimes struggle to fully comprehend. I remember you so clearly, the quiet, deeply studious one, always tucked away in your little corner at home, completely absorbed in one book or another. And yes, you were always the first to grab my newspapers the moment I was done with them! Looking back now, it all makes perfect sense. Those early habits were not by chance, they were the seeds of the accomplished journalist you eventually became after university.

But let me not forget the one “offence” I have refused to forgive you for all these years, you took a good number of my treasured news magazines with you to Cardiff for your Master’s degree… and never returned them!

Ah! If only you knew, those magazines would have been priceless treasures today, sitting proudly beside my carefully preserved collection of Ovation International. I suppose I will let it go… today, of all days!

And now… sixty. Agba ti dé ni yẹn o!

This is no longer just a milestone, it is a crown. A season of grace. A time to slow the pace, reflect deeply, and appreciate the journey, both the triumphs and the missteps that shaped the man you are today. The years ahead may not carry the same restless energy of youth, but they hold something far greater: wisdom, clarity, and the freedom to truly do what you love.

So today, I celebrate you, not just for reaching sixty, but for the life you have lived, the legacy you are building, and the quiet strength that has always defined you.

Happy 60th Birthday, my dear brother.

May this new chapter be rich with peace, fulfillment, laughter, and God’s abundant grace.
