Founder of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, has announced the permanent suspension of marriage plans involving his adopted autistic children.

The cleric disclosed this in a post shared on his official Facebook page, stating that the decision was final. He also revealed a new plan to employ specialized medical professionals to provide dedicated care and support for the children.

“Future marriage plans for my autism children suspended permanently. Special doctors shall be employed for them,” he stated.

The announcement comes weeks after the pastor’s actions concerning his adopted children generated widespread reactions across Nigerian media and social platforms.

Earlier, his adopted autistic son, popularly known as Aboy, got married in a ceremony officiated by the cleric after he publicly sought a wife for him — a move that drew mixed reactions from the public.

Following that development, Chinyere also revealed plans to find a husband for his autistic daughter, which attracted even stronger criticism. Reports indicated that more than 1,000 men had expressed interest in marrying her, intensifying public debate over the move.

He later suspended the proposed marriage arrangement for his daughter amid mounting backlash.

With the latest announcement, the cleric appears to have completely withdrawn from arranging marriages for his adopted autistic children, choosing instead to prioritize their healthcare, welfare, and long-term support.
