A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has expressed confidence that campaign promises made by the party’s governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji will be fulfilled.

Oyintiloye stated this during a visit to the palace of the Alademure of Ibokun, Oba Festus Kayode Awogboro on Thursday.

While reiterating the party’s commitment to delivering on its pledges, he said the APC remained focused on meeting the expectations of the electorate, noting that fulfilling campaign promises was essential to sustaining public trust.

According to him, the party has a track record of implementing its people’s oriented programmes and would continue in that direction if elected in the forthcoming governorship poll.

Oyintiloye specifically expressed optimism that the candidate, Oyebamiji, would honour all commitments made during the campaign.

He acknowledged the request and assured the community that their concerns would be communicated to the appropriate authorities.

The former lawmaker, who represented Obokun Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly, used the occasion to canvass support for the APC candidate.

He urged residents to vote massively for the party, stating that such support would enhance the chances of addressing their demands through government intervention.

“While I appreciate the opportunity given to me to represent the good people of Obokun, I must say emphatically that Oyebamiji will fulfil all his campaign promises,” he said.

Oyintiloye also highlighted projects executed during his tenure, describing them as evidence of his commitment to development in the constituency.

He listed the refurbishment of a police armoured personnel carrier and the reconstruction of the Ibokun roundabout among efforts aimed at improving security and infrastructure.

Other projects, according to him, included renovation of the ancient palace, construction and rehabilitation of market stalls, and provision of boreholes and electricity transformers.

He added that empowerment initiatives such as job facilitation, support for farmers and traders, and distribution of aid to vulnerable groups were also implemented.

Oyintiloye said these interventions reflected the APC’s governance approach, assuring that similar efforts would be sustained in future administrations.

Responding, Alademure of Ibokun, Oba Festus Awogboro, appealed for increased federal government presence in the community.

The traditional ruler urged the government to consider establishing a federal institution in Ibokun, citing the town’s consistent support for the APC at the polls.

He noted that the community had long agitated for federal presence, adding that such intervention would contribute to local development.

“We have been clamouring for federal government presence over the years. Our people have shown loyalty and support, and we expect this to be reciprocated,” the monarch said.
