Plateau Attack: Tight Security As Tinubu Arrives Jos

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Jos, the Plateau State capital, on Thursday to commiserate with the government and people of the state over the recent attacks that claimed over 28 lives.

NOP NIGERIA reports that President Tinubu landed at the Yakubu Gowon Airport at exactly 5 pm and was received by the Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, Minister of Defence Christopher Musa, Senator Jonah Jang, Senator Simon Lalong and other stakeholders

Other critical stakeholders present included Senator Nora Ladi Daduut, the newly appointed Nigerian Ambassador to South Korea, and former Governor Joshua Dariye.

Several security chiefs, including the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, the Police Inspector General Olatunji Rilwan Disu, were also at the airport to receive the President.

President Tinubu is expected to engage with leaders of various communities in the state as part of efforts to find a lasting solution to attacks in the state.

Also, there is a heavy security presence at the Yakubu Gowon Airport, where the event is taking place.
