Adrien Truffert scored late to give AFC Bournemouth a dramatic win at Newcastle United and extend their unbeaten Premier League run to a club-record 13 matches.

The visitors looked intent on giving departing head coach Andoni Iraola a strong finish after his decision to leave at the end of the ongoing Premier League season. Marcus Tavernier had opened the scoring before William Osula levelled for the hosts midway through the second half.

With the game drifting towards a draw, Tavernier turned provider, crossing for Evanilson to nod down for Truffert, who smashed into the roof of the net. The winner sparked wild celebrations and left Eddie Howe facing renewed scrutiny after another late setback against his former club.

Newcastle had briefly thought they were back in control when Osula raced through and finished after a VAR review overturned referee Tom Bramall’s offside call. The late twist leaves Newcastle 14th, while Bournemouth climb to eighth.

At Elland Road, Leeds United moved closer to Premier League survival with a vital win that leaves Wolverhampton Wanderers on the brink of relegation.

Daniel Farke’s side surged ahead through a stunning overhead kick from James Justin before Noah Okafor finished a swift counter from Brendan Aaronson’s cross just 85 seconds later.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin sealed the points with a stoppage-time penalty after goalkeeper Karl Darlow had earlier denied Ladislav Krejci. Wolves now face relegation if Tottenham Hotspur beat Brighton & Hove Albion, or if West Ham United avoid defeat at Crystal Palace.

While at Gtech Community Stadium, Brentford missed the chance to move sixth after a goalless draw with Fulham, their fifth straight draw.

Igor Thiago headed wide early on, while Keane Lewis-Potter and Mikkel Damsgaard squandered good openings. Bernd Leno proved Fulham’s hero, tipping over a late free-kick from Mathias Jensen before producing a superb stoppage-time save to deny Dango Ouattara.

The draw keeps Brentford seventh, while Fulham remain 12th with five games left.
