Applicants in the ongoing Rivers State Teachers Recruitment exercise have been advised to check their email inboxes as notifications for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) have commenced.
Information available indicates that shortlisted candidates are now receiving official messages containing details of their examination date, time, and designated centre.
Details of the CBT Invitation
A sample notification seen by Nigeria Startup News shows that the exercise is being conducted by the Rivers State Government in partnership with Osalasi Company Limited.
The notice, titled “Allocation of Computer-Based Test (CBT) Examination Timetable,” outlines key information including:
- Examination date and time
- Assigned hall and centre
- Candidate examination number
In one instance, the CBT was scheduled for April 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM, with the venue listed as ICTC, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt.
Candidates are also instructed to report at least one hour before their scheduled time and present valid means of identification.
Important Instructions to Applicants
According to the notice, strict guidelines have been put in place for the examination. The organisers stated:
“Candidates must report to the examination venue at least one (1) hour before the scheduled time.”
It further warned that:
“The use of mobile phones, smart devices, or any electronic gadgets is strictly prohibited during the examination.”
The notice also emphasised that any form of examination malpractice will lead to immediate disqualification.
What Applicants Should Do Now
All applicants are strongly advised to monitor their email addresses regularly. This includes checking spam or junk folders, as some notifications may be redirected.
Those who have not yet received their CBT details are urged not to panic, as the notifications are expected to be sent in batches.
A general advisory reads:
“Information regarding the next stage of the process, including the CBT examination date, has begun to be sent out. Kindly ensure you monitor your inbox to avoid missing any important updates.”
Final Note
Failure to appear on the assigned date may lead to forfeiture of the opportunity to proceed in the recruitment process.
Applicants are therefore encouraged to stay alert and prepared as the recruitment exercise progresses to the examination stage.
