Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has appointed Prince Ibrahim Kehinde Ladéga, ace broadcaster and master of ceremony, as Senior Special Assistant on Political Mobilization and Strategy.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was confirmed in a letter from the Office of the Governor on Friday. Ladéga is expected to support the Governor’s political engagement across Lagos, coordinate stakeholder outreach, and help shape strategic communication with party structures and community leaders.
Prince Ladéga is a well-known voice in Lagos media and events circles. As a broadcaster and compere, he has anchored major state functions, corporate events, and political rallies for over a decade. His style and grassroots appeal have made him a familiar figure in APC political circuits in the Southwest.
Before this appointment, Ladéga served as Special Assistant on Political Matters, South West, to the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila. In that role, he worked on regional political liaison, youth mobilization, and stakeholder management across the six southwest states during Gbajabiamila’s tenure as Speaker from 2019 to 2023.
Party sources say Ladéga’s brief will include strengthening the link between the Office of the Governor and political blocs in all 20 local governments and 37 LCDAs, driving issue-based mobilization, and providing feedback from the grassroots to inform policy and political strategy.
The appointment comes as political activities gradually pick up ahead of the 2027 general elections. With consultations underway across the APC, the Governor’s office has been reinforcing its political team to deepen engagement with elders, traditional institutions, professional groups, and youth networks.
Ladega contested for the Chairmanship seat of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area in the last council elections in the state but was prevailed on by the leaders of the party to step down for the current Chairman
