President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has celebrated billionaire businessman Mike Adenuga on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a “colossus” whose impact spans multiple sectors of the Nigerian economy.
In a statement personally signed by the President, on Tuesday, he congratulated the chairman of Globacom and Conoil, praising his achievements in telecommunications, oil and gas, banking, and real estate.
“Dr Mike Adeniyi Adenuga, chairman of Globacom and Conoil, is a colossus. From telecommunications, real estate, banking and oil and gas, he has put an imprint of excellence on the Nigerian enterprise,” Tinubu said.
The President described Adenuga, fondly called “The Guru,” as a businessman with exceptional vision and resilience, noting that his life story reflects determination and the possibilities within Nigeria’s economic landscape.
“Mike’s life is an affirmation of the audacity of hope, belief, and vision. From humble beginnings, he rose to become one of Africa’s finest entrepreneurs,” he stated.
Tinubu said the business mogul’s success serves as an inspiration to young Nigerians, demonstrating that hard work, innovation, and persistence can lead to remarkable achievements.
He also commended Adenuga’s contributions to Nigeria’s cultural and creative industries, highlighting his support for festivals, arts, and entertainment initiatives across the country.
