The victim’s ordeal commenced on Friday, April 24, as .... they were travelling from Polokwane to Thokgoaneng village, according to police reports. One of the passengers in the vehicle is purportedly accused of using a cloth to conceal her mouth and nostrils, which resulted in her becoming disoriented and weakened. The vehicle allegedly diverted off its course and subsequently arrived at a remote farm, where she was allegedly held against her will.
The woman was reportedly held confined for a .... number of days in appalling conditions, according to the authorities. She was reportedly subjected to numerous sexual assaults by a number of suspects during this period, and she was robbed at gunpoint of her mobile and an undisclosed sum of currency. The incident has been characterised by the police as a case of extreme brutality and a callous disregard for human dignity.
The ordeal reportedly persisted until Monday, April 27, when the suspects allegedly placed the victim in the trunk of the same vehicle. They subsequently abandoned her near informal traders in close proximity to Lebowakgomo Hospital. After she was discovered in a distressed state, she was promptly taken for urgent medical treatment by bystanders.
The victim of the incident reported the incident to .... the police after her recovery, which resulted in the opening of numerous criminal cases, including armed robbery, four counts of rape, and abduction..
