‎⁣⁣2027: Apapa-Iganmu Stakeholders Endorse Rep Adedayo Adesola, Musbau Aina for Second Term

‎Stakeholders in Apapa Iganmu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) have endorsed the incumbent member representing Apapa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Dr Adedayo Samuel; and his Lagos State House of Assembly counterpart, Hon Musbau Aina Lawal, for a second term in office ahead of the 2027 general elections.⁣⁣

‎The endorsement was announced on Wednesday, 13 May, 2026, during a strategic stakeholders’ meeting held at the council secretariat, which attracted a large turnout of party leaders, community groups and residents across the LCDA.⁣⁣

‎Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of Apapa Iganmu LCDA, Jimoh Olawale Saliu, said the decision followed extensive consultations across the wards within the council area.⁣⁣

‎According to him, the endorsement reflected the confidence reposed in both lawmakers for what he described as quality representation and service delivery.⁣⁣

“‎We’re here today to unveil and announce to you our representatives for the House of Representatives and House of Assembly that have been endorsed to return for a second term in office,” he said.⁣⁣

‎He urged party members and stakeholders to remain united and mobilise support for all candidates of the All Progressives Congress during the forthcoming party primaries and the 2027 general election.⁣⁣

‎The Chairman also called for massive support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying Nigerians should back the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at transforming the country.⁣⁣

“‎We should support them during the forthcoming primaries of our party and the general election to ensure they return for the second term and continue the good representation,” he added.⁣⁣

‎Hon Dr Adesola Adedayo appealed to aggrieved party members and supporters to forgive past shortcomings and rally behind his candidacy as well as that of Hon Musibau.⁣⁣

‎Quoting from the Lord’s Prayer in the Bible, the federal lawmaker stressed the importance of forgiveness and unity within the party ahead of the elections.⁣⁣

‎Also speaking, Hon Musibau Aina Lawal called for peaceful conduct during the APC primaries and appealed for continued support from party faithful and residents of the constituency.⁣⁣

‎The meeting was attended by members of the APC Elders Council led by Alhaji Bakare Idowu, APC ward chairmen, supervisory councillors, political appointees, members of the Community Development Committee led by Mr. Azeez Okeola, and representatives of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) coordinated by Pastor Agboola Kehinde, The league of Imam and Alfa, led by Alhaji Olomoda Shu’aib were all present, including the market men and women, artisans, people living with disabilities, members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Arewa groups, South-South and South-East representatives among other stakeholdes. ⁣⁣
