A son of Yau Shehu Darazo, Special Adviser, Political and Inter-Governmental Affairs to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Arc. Usman Ya’u Darazo, has officially accepted the call by stakeholders, youths, and political supporters across the Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency to contest for the House of Representatives seat ahead of the 2027 elections.
This was disclosed by his political associate, Khamis Musa Darazo Sunday, who stated that the decision came after extensive consultations and growing pressure from constituents who believe Arc. Usman Ya’u Darazo possesses the leadership qualities and political experience needed to deliver effective representation for the people.
According to Khamis Musa Darazo, the acceptance of the call marks the beginning of a new political movement aimed at promoting inclusive leadership, youth empowerment, and grassroots development across the constituency.
He explained that Arc. Usman Ya’u Darazo remains committed to advancing policies and initiatives that would improve education, economic opportunities, infrastructure, and the welfare of the people of Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency.
Khamis Musa Darazo also highlighted the political contributions of Arc. Usman Ya’u Darazo during the build-up to the 2023 presidential primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC), noting that he played an important role in mobilizing support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to him, Arc. Usman Ya’u Darazo was actively involved in grassroots consultations and strategic mobilization efforts that contributed to Tinubu’s emergence as the APC presidential candidate during the 2023 primaries.
He further stated that the political mobilization continued during the 2023 general elections, where Arc. Usman Ya’u Darazo and other progressive loyalists worked tirelessly in support of the Renewed Hope agenda, contributing to Tinubu’s eventual victory at the polls.
Khamis Musa Darazo added that many youths, elders, and political stakeholders within the constituency have already expressed strong support for the aspiration, describing Arc. Usman Ya’u Darazo as a leader with the vision, capacity, and grassroots connection needed to provide purposeful representation at the National Assembly.
He noted that the growing endorsement from different communities across Darazo and Ganjuwa reflects the confidence people have in his leadership and his ability to bring meaningful development to the constituency.
