President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Sunday in Abuja receive the Certificate and Flag of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as its presidential candidate for the 2027 elections.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, made this known in a statement on Saturday.
The Eagle Online recalls that the presidential primaries of the APC took place on Saturday, May 23, 2026 nationwide.
President Tinubu, accompanied by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, voted in Lagos.
From available information nationwide, Tinubu recorded a landslide victory against his sole opponent, Stanley Osifo.
According to Onanuga, the Presidential Primary Elections Committee will present the certificate and flag at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja after nationwide collation of the primary election results.
He said governors elected on the platform of the APC, members of the party’s National Executive Committee, National Working Committee, and National Assembly, along with party stalwarts will attend the event.
