Residents of a community in Delta State were thrown into shock and confusion after a 32-year-old woman was reportedly caught in the early hours of the morning while attempting to abduct a 4-year-old child. According to eyewitness accounts, the woman was apprehended by local vigilante members who were on night patrol. She was said to have been moving suspiciously with the child at about midnight, trying to leave the community unnoticed. Her movement reportedly raised alarm, leading to a quick pursuit and her eventual arrest.
Sources in the community explained that the suspect had already gained access to the child before being discovered. She was allegedly seen trying to move the child toward a nearby community, with the intention of continuing her journey the following day.
However, her plan was disrupted when vigilante members spotted her and became suspicious of her actions. They followed her quietly until she was confronted and stopped. The child was safely recovered without harm and returned to safety.
