Akeem Amosun Rallies APC Members for Salisu Ahead Ogun Central Senatorial Primary

The Federal Commissioner representing Ogun State at the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Akeem Amosun, on Sunday intensified mobilisation for the All Progressives Congress senatorial primary in Ogun Central, urging party members to back Senator  Shuaib Afolani Salisu.

Amosun, who addressed party faithfuls at his residence, AK City, in Abeokuta, called on APC members across the senatorial district to turn out en masse and vote for Salisu in Monday’s primary.

Speaking before a large gathering of supporters, including youth and women groups, the APC chieftain stressed the need for unity and discipline within the party, describing the primary as a test of the party’s cohesion ahead of the general elections.

He said the level of support earlier shown for another party figure must be replicated to ensure Salisu’s emergence as the party’s candidate.

Amosun said, “The same commitment and loyalty demonstrated by our members in previous endorsements must be sustained. We must remain united and committed to the progress of our great party by ensuring victory for Senator Shuaib  Afolabi Salisu.”

He described Salisu as an experienced and loyal party member capable of delivering effective representation for Ogun Central at the National Assembly.

The commissioner also cautioned party members against acts that could disrupt the electoral process, urging them to conduct themselves peacefully during the exercise.

“Our focus must remain the success and continuity of the APC. This primary is an opportunity to demonstrate our political maturity and commitment to progressive ideals,” he added.

Supporters at the meeting expressed confidence in Salisu’s candidacy, pledging to mobilise votes across the district to secure his emergence at the primary.

The APC senatorial primary for Ogun Central is scheduled to hold on Monday, with stakeholders closely watching the outcome amid ongoing political alignments within the party.
