APC Picks Soneye Damilola For Obafemi Owode Constituency Election

Hon. Soneye Damilola Kayode (SDK) has emerged as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Obafemi Owode State Constituency following the party’s direct primary election conducted across all 12 wards in the local government area.

The exercise, held on [day implied: today], produced SDK as the party’s flagbearer ahead of the forthcoming general election, in what party officials described as a peaceful and well-coordinated process.

In a statement after his emergence, Soneye expressed appreciation to the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, for what he described as his leadership and commitment to a credible and orderly primary election.

He also commended former Ogun State Governor and APC leader, Olusegun Osoba, for his guidance and support throughout the process.

Soneye further acknowledged the role of the party  governorship candidate and political leader, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, also known as  Yayi, for his cooperation and backing during the exercise, as well as party stakeholders, executives, youths, women, and delegates across the constituency.

Describing his emergence as a collective victory, the APC candidate pledged to prioritise service delivery and inclusive representation if elected.

“This victory belongs to the people of Obafemi Owode. I remain committed to serving with humility, loyalty and dedication to the progress of our constituency,” he said.
