Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals has officially opened applications for its 2026 Graduate Trainee Programme, offering young Nigerian graduates an opportunity to begin a professional career in one of Africa’s largest industrial projects.
The programme is targeted at high-potential graduates who are interested in building careers in engineering, refinery operations, technical support, business administration, laboratory sciences, finance, information technology and other related fields within the oil and gas sector.
According to information released by the company, the Graduate Trainee Programme will run for 18 months and will expose selected candidates to practical refinery operations, hands-on industrial training and professional mentorship from experienced experts in the sector.

Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals is a subsidiary of Dangote Group and operates the massive 650,000 barrels-per-day refinery located in the Lekki Free Zone, Lagos State.
The refinery is regarded as the largest single-train refinery in the world and was established to boost local petroleum refining, reduce fuel import dependence and strengthen Nigeria’s industrial capacity.

The 2026 Graduate Trainee Programme is designed to help graduates gain practical industry knowledge while working within a modern refinery and petrochemical environment.
Selected trainees will have the opportunity to rotate across various operational units, learn technical procedures, work with industry professionals and develop workplace skills needed for long-term career growth.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants interested in the programme must meet the following conditions:
- Must possess a First Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND)
- Minimum qualification for degree holders is Second Class Lower
- HND holders must possess Upper Credit
- Applicants must not be above 28 years old by May 31, 2026
