“BBL Is Basically Fat Transfer”- Phyna Breaks Down Modern BBL, Triggers Heated Reactions Online

Reality TV star and media personality Phyna has sparked conversations online after sharing her views on Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedures.

According to Phyna, the perception of BBL as “fake” originated when silicone implants were commonly used, noting that modern procedures primarily involve transferring fat from one part of the body to the buttocks.

“It was when they used Silicone for BBL that it was called f@ke. Right now BBL is basically the transfer of fat from your stomach to the b¥m. There are no external properties,” she said.

Her statement quickly attracted mixed reactions from social media users.

Reacting to her comments, @Meeratiyemoja questioned why people continue to undergo the procedure despite the risks involved.

“Despite how dangerous this procedure is, these people are still doing it. Gosh. What is so special in having a big butt that they are willing to risk their life?” she wrote.

Another user, @blvck_yaleke, criticized the message being passed to younger generations, saying, “Fat don dae this one brain, I just dae pity younger generation. Ma y God continue to guide and protect us.”

However, some users agreed with Phyna’s explanation.

“She’s actually saying the truth tho so do I support BBL yes I do because I love bums,” wrote @smartbm02.

Others accused the reality star of contradicting her previous views. User @JenniferIroh referenced her time in the Big Brother Naija house, writing, “But in this house, you kept insulting ChiChi? Calling her fake?”

Similarly, @Damilola1017 commented, “Coming from someone who said she can nevr do BBL, oh forgot she never win BBN that time.”

Another user, @PAtubobienemi, argued that regardless of the method used, cosmetic enhancement remains artificial.

“Call it ‘natural’ all you want, but it’s still engineered results,” the user wrote.

Meanwhile, @princeheavendow suggested that the growing popularity of cosmetic surgery raises concerns about self-image and societal beauty standards.

“The fact that a surgical procedure is needed to make you feel beautiful reflects inferiority complex in African women,” the user stated.
