TT Tribute: BMW Motorrad has unveiled the BMW M 1000 RR Limited Edition Isle of Man TT to celebrate the 115th running of the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy in 2026. Based on the M 1000 RR M Competition, the special edition will be limited to 115 units globally. BMW says the motorcycle has been created to honour the company’s long-standing association with one of the world’s most demanding road races.

Racing Roots: BMW Motorrad traced its Isle of Man TT connection back to 1939, when Georg Meier became the first non-British rider to win the Senior TT on the BMW RS 255 Kompressor. The company also highlighted Helmut Dähne’s Production class victory in 1976 on the BMW R 90 S and later achievements with the S 1000 RR and M 1000 RR in the modern TT era.

Hickman Record: BMW also referred to Peter Hickman’s lap record at the TT Mountain Course in 2023. Riding a BMW M 1000 RR in Superstock specification, Hickman completed the course in 16 minutes and 36.115 seconds at an average speed of 136.358mph, or about 219.4kmph. BMW said the record remains one of the standout achievements for the M 1000 RR at the Isle of Man TT.

TT Graphics: The M 1000 RR Limited Edition Isle of Man TT gets a British Racing Green Uni Matt paint finish with TT-inspired graphics based on sections of the Mountain Course. BMW said the left fairing carries selected left-hand corners, while the right side displays right-hand bends. The motorcycle also receives TT logos and Mountain Course graphics across the bodywork and carbon airbox cover.

Key Details: The motorcycle features a satin chrome-finished aluminium fuel tank, black swingarm and TT branding on the rear frame. BMW has also equipped the bike with a black Alcantara seat and individually milled numbering on the top yoke. Each motorcycle will be supplied with a certificate of authenticity as part of its collector-focused package.

Extra Kit: BMW Motorrad will offer several exclusive accessories with the limited-edition superbike. Buyers will receive an M Race Cover Kit, rear workstand, assembly stand mounting hardware and an M motorcycle mat carrying both M and TT logos. These additions are offered alongside the standard equipment package of the M 1000 RR M Competition.

Same Engine: Mechanically, the motorcycle remains unchanged from the standard M 1000 RR M Competition. Power comes from a 999cc inline four-cylinder engine producing 205hp at 13,000rpm and 112.5Nm at 11,100rpm. The superbike continues with the same race-derived electronics and aerodynamic package developed for high-speed track and road performance.

Top Speed: BMW said the M 1000 RR Limited Edition Isle of Man TT weighs 192kg and has a claimed top speed of 314 km/h. The motorcycle retains the aerodynamic bodywork, electronic rider aids and track-focused setup available on the M 1000 RR M Competition. BMW said the edition is aimed at buyers seeking exclusivity along with superbike performance.

Recent Wins: BMW also highlighted recent TT successes linked to its RR models. Michael Dunlop secured a major win in the 1,000cc class on the BMW S 1000 RR in 2014. Peter Hickman later claimed multiple victories, including a hat-trick in 2022 across the Superbike, Superstock and Senior TT races. In 2025, Davey Todd added another Superbike victory for the BMW M 1000 RR.

Only 115: Production of the BMW M 1000 RR Limited Edition Isle of Man TT will be capped at 115 units worldwide, matching the 115th running of the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy in 2026. Markus Flasch, CEO of BMW Motorrad, said racing remains central to the brand’s identity and described the special edition as a link between BMW’s TT racing history and its M performance motorcycles.
