According to reports by Vanguard Newspaper, the businessman, whose identity remains undisclosed, allegedly hid his lover’s used sanitary pad inside his pocket during a visit to her residence in Ikoyi, Lagos. The discovery reportedly left the woman terrified and eventually forced her to flee the country over fears for her safety.
Sources familiar with the matter claimed the businessman and the woman had been in a romantic relationship for over seven years. During that period, the wealthy oil and gas mogul allegedly sponsored her lavish lifestyle, including luxury vacations and the acquisition of a property in Lagos.
However, the relationship reportedly took a troubling turn earlier this year after the businessman visited the woman while she was on her menstrual cycle. According to insiders, the lady later realized that a used sanitary pad she had disposed of in her bathroom waste bin had mysteriously gone missing after the businessman left her apartment.
Alarmed by the disappearance, she reportedly contacted him and asked him to return to the residence immediately. Reports circulating online alleged that the businessman initially denied taking the item when confronted. However, the woman allegedly searched through his belongings and reportedly discovered the used sanitary pad hidden inside one of his pockets.
The shocking discovery reportedly left her frightened and deeply suspicious. Sources claimed she questioned him extensively about why he allegedly took the item, but she was not convinced by his explanation.
Fearing the incident could be connected to ritual practices, the woman reportedly isolated herself before eventually going into hiding.
The controversy allegedly worsened after the relationship collapsed. According to reports, the businessman allegedly attempted to reclaim properties and assets he had previously gifted to her by changing ownership documents.
The woman also reportedly accused some of the businessman’s associates of unlawfully entering her apartment in her absence. She claimed several valuables went missing from the residence, including a Range Rover, a Lexus RX350, foreign currencies, naira cash, and expensive jewelry worth millions of naira.
Sources further alleged that the matter has now been reported to the Special Fraud Unit in Ikoyi, Lagos. The woman, who is currently said to be outside Nigeria, has reportedly hired legal representatives to petition the Nigeria Police Force, seeking protection and justice.
She also allegedly accused the businessman of using influence and intimidation against her family members. According to insiders, the Inspector General of Police has been briefed on the matter and reportedly directed that a discreet investigation be conducted.
