CDCFIB Gives Fresh Update to Recruitment Applicants

CDCFIB has given a fresh update to Nigerians interested in applying for jobs under the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).

The update was shared during a stakeholders’ engagement held on Monday, May 25, 2026, between the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) and members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).

Speaking during the session, the Secretary to the Board, Maj Gen A M Jibrin (Rtd), said the sensitization programme was organized to educate Nigerian youths on the official recruitment process into the four agencies supervised by the Board.

According to him, the current administration is committed to a recruitment system built on transparency, inclusiveness, and merit.

“The Board remains committed to ensuring a credible, transparent and merit-based recruitment process for all qualified Nigerians,” he said during the engagement.

Jibrin also warned applicants against misinformation, fake recruitment portals, and fraudulent activities that usually surface during recruitment exercises.

He explained that the programme was designed to help young Nigerians understand the approved application procedures, eligibility requirements, and equal opportunity principles guiding recruitment into the agencies.

Participants at the event were also given the opportunity to ask questions regarding recruitment processes, transparency measures, and application requirements.

Members of the NYCN commended CDCFIB for engaging directly with youths across the country, describing the initiative as an important step toward building trust and improving public awareness ahead of future recruitment exercises.

The Board further reaffirmed its commitment to openness, accountability, and continuous stakeholder engagement in all its activities.
