Fresh panic has erupted across parts of Ogbomoso as residents, students and traders were seen fleeing for safety amid fears of renewed terrorist attacks in the area.
The disturbance comes days after terrorists invaded three schools in Oriire LGA, Oyo State, abducting pupils, teachers and school staff in coordinated attacks that shocked the state.
Governor Seyi Makinde confirmed that at least seven teachers were kidnapped, while one victim, Oyedokun M.O., was killed in captivity by the terrorists.
Teachers have since staged protests, warning that schools across the Ogbomoso axis are no longer safe.
