Governor Siminalayi Fubara has withdrawn from the governorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress ahead of Thursday’s exercise, saying the peace, stability, and unity of Rivers State are more important than personal ambition.
In a statement personally signed on Wednesday night, Fubara announced that after consultations with family, friends, and associates, he decided to step aside from the APC gubernatorial primaries and pledged support for whoever emerges as the party’s candidate.
According to him, leadership is about sacrifice and there comes a time when personal interests must give way to the greater good of the people....... .
