Nollywood star is setting the record straight after facing heavy criticism for applauding upgrades at Lagos’ , managed by the (FAAN).
Days ago, the actress shared a video highlighting improvements at the airport terminal, describing the transformation as impressive and commendable. However, some social media users accused her of aligning politically following her recent gig linked to the APC.
Now, Iyabo is clapping back — and she’s not mincing words.
According to her, she was not paid a dime to promote FAAN. She revealed that the agency approached her after she noticed the changes herself and asked her to help amplify the improvements. She agreed, she said, purely out of love for Nigeria — no contract, no influencer fee.
In her words, her rates as a brand influencer are far higher than what it would cost to film at the airport, dismissing claims of a “trade by barter” arrangement.
Iyabo emphasized that she praises good work, not political parties. If the government does something commendable, she believes it should be acknowledged. She also stated that her loyalty lies with Nigeria, not with any political agenda.
The actress made it clear she remains unapologetic and will continue to use her platform to spotlight progress wherever she sees it. She added that she’s willing to collaborate with any political party — as long as the focus is on national development.
Her message? Stop dividing. Start building.
Whether critics are convinced or not, one thing is certain — Iyabo Ojo isn’t backing down from her stance.
