Ihedioha, Tambuwal join Atiku as ADC begins presidential screening [PHOTOS]

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has appeared before the presidential screening committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The exercise took place at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

Atiku was accompanied to the venue of the screening by former Imo State governor, Emeka Ihedioha and former Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal among several other leaders of the ADC.

The screening process marks a significant step in the opposition party’s preparation to field a candidate against the second-term ambition of President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 election.

The former vice president had formally joined the ADC and submitted his Expression of Interest and Nomination forms earlier this month.
