The Nigeria Customs Service, Imo/Abia Area Command, and the Federal Road Safety Corps have reaffirmed their commitment to stronger inter-agency collaboration aimed at improving security and operational efficiency in Imo State.
The renewed partnership was highlighted during a courtesy visit by the newly deployed Sector Commander of the FRSC RS 9.4 Imo Sector Command, Corps Commander Nimota Okoro, to the Customs Area Controller of the Imo/Abia Area Command, Comptroller Blessing Ihenacho, at the command headquarters in Owerri.
This was made known via a post on the X handle of the Nigeria Customs Service, on Tuesday, May 26.
Speaking during the meeting, Comptroller Ihenacho described collaboration among security and paramilitary agencies as essential to effective service delivery and national security.

“Collaboration among sister agencies remains critical to achieving effective service delivery and improving national security. We will continue to strengthen our relationship with the FRSC in line with the policy thrust of the Comptroller-General of Customs,” she said.
On her part, Corps Commander Okoro said the visit was aimed at familiarising herself with the operations of the Nigeria Customs Service and deepening the existing relationship between both agencies.
“The FRSC values its partnership with the NCS. Strengthening this collaboration is important in enhancing coordination, safety, and efficient service delivery within the state,” she stated.
The Customs Area Controller also commended the FRSC sector command for its support in facilitating driver’s licence processing for officers of the Imo/Abia Area Command.
