Iran's Tehran Stock Exchange to re-open after 80 days since the beginning of war with US

Iran will reopen its stock market today (Tuesday) at 10:00 AM local time after over 80 days, ever since the beginning of the US-Israeli war on the Persian nation.

Trading naturally was suspended ‌due to the conflict between the US and Israel.

Iran’s Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index, TEDPIX, last traded on February 24, 2026, nearly a week or more precisely 4 days, before the beginning of the war, which started with a US attack on Iran on February 28, 2026.

“The suspension of stock market activities from the start of the war was aimed at protecting shareholders’ assets, preventing panic-driven trading and allowing for ‌more transparent pricing conditions,” said Hamid Yari, deputy supervisor at the Securities and Exchange Organisation, Reuters reported.

The stock market will open at 10:00 AM Tehran time, or 12:00 PM IST. The trading will be carried out for 4 hours, closing at 02:00 PM (Local Time) or 04:00 PM IST.
