A Kwara State High Court sitting in llorin has sentenced a church founder, Prophet AjiboyeOlayinka, to life imprisonment for raping three minors within his mission house..
The trial judge, Justice H.A. Gegele, in a judgment delivered on Wednesday, also slammed the convict with an additional14-year jail term for carrying out illegal abortions to terminate pregnancies resulting from the sexual assaults.

He was arraigned on an eight‑count charge, including criminal conspiracy, unlawful sexual intercourse with minors, illegal abortion, and possession of firearms.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that the offences were brought under Sections 97, 235, and 283 of the Penal Code, Section 3(1) of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provisions) Act, 2004, and Section 31(2) of the Kwara State Child Rights Law, 2006.
The court ruled that the prosecution had proved beyond reasonable doubt that Olayinka repeatedly raped the minors, and performed crude abortions to conceal his crimes.
According to court proceedings, the victims narrated how the self-styled prophet lured them into his mission house, anointed their private parts with oil, and forced himself on them.
They also testified that he made them swear an oath of secrecy on a Bible, threatening to kill them if they ever spoke about the abuse.
The prosecution team led by Chief State Counsel Issa Zakari called 12 witnesses and tendered several exhibits, including the victims’ statements and a firearm recovered from the convict.
Justice Gegele further ordered that the pump-action gun seized from Olayinka be forfeited to the Federal Government.
