Nigerian on-air personality N6 has reacted to reports that former Big Brother Naija winner, Phyna, is a waitress.
Kemi Filani reported that the Level Up winner, who went home with a grand prize worth ₦100 million, became a trending topic after streamer Davrel spotted her serving customers at a restaurant.
In the viral clip, Phyna appeared uncomfortable about being filmed and questioned why the camera was suddenly focused on her while she worked.
The video, which went viral on X, left many wondering what could have happened to the reality star’s fame, money, endorsements, and fortune.
Speaking out, Phyna made it clear that she had nothing to be ashamed of. She admitted that things aren’t rosy for her as they used to be, and she chose to work rather than rely on social media appearances or pretend to live a fake lifestyle.
The controversial reality star questioned why Nigerians were attacking her for doing honest work. Phyna further explained that opportunities to influence and secure endorsement deals have decreased over time, making it difficult for her to maintain the luxury lifestyle fans expect from her.
Reacting to it, N6, via his Twitter page, said he has no problem with her becoming a waitress to make ends meet as long as her mental health can carry the stigma.
He stated that it was better than stealing and admonished her to keep doing her thing. The OAP noted how only Phyna knows where the shoe is pinching her.
“I have no problems with a former BBNaija winner becoming a Waitress to make ends meet. So long as her Mental Health can carry the Stigma. It’s better than Make she go begin Thief. Do your thing, Jare. Na you know where the shoe of Your Life dey pain you for Leg”.
Back in 2023, Phyna recounted how her controversies and scandals had made her lose 17 brand deals. She revealed how a brand rejected working with her because they felt she was an abuser after a blog made a false accusation about her and Groovy.
Despite the lost deals, Phyna recalled how she turned down N5 million, from a man who had offered her the money for sex at a nightclub.
The BBNaija star shared her networth, noting how she had been asked how much actors make, and she responded by saying that she doesn’t know about others, but as for her, in a month she does about three movies, which earns her about five million Naira.
In an interview, Phyna had credited herself for paving the way for Hype women in Nigeria. She noted how, before going to Biggie’s house, she was the only Hype woman in Abuja, but after her return from the show, she started seeing lots of hype girls.
In a past post, she had also revealed to everyone she was the blue point. She boldly declared thatshe is the one who gives other people ideas and the person whom others come to take ideas from.
The reality star expressed pride in being independent and secure. The reality star opined that she thinks a girl who can earn a down living and pay her way should be as happy as anybody on Earth. She noted how the sense of independence and security was very sweet.
