“No Shortcuts, No Dirty Deals!” – Kemity Breaks Silence on Fame Journey, Sends Strong Warning to Upcoming Actresses

Yoruba comic star , popularly known as Kemity, has boldly addressed long-standing industry rumours as she opened up about her rise to fame.

In a heartfelt throwback post, the actress made it crystal clear: she has never slept with anyone for movie roles or traded intimacy for opportunities. According to her, her journey has always been powered by hustle, discipline, and God’s grace.

Kemity revealed that before meeting filmmaker Itele, she owned two wine shops and also worked as a receptionist at Masters Hotel in Ayobo. When she realised actors often had to fund their feeding and accommodation during productions, she pivoted into makeup artistry to stay afloat in the industry. From acting to makeup and back to acting, she described her growth as steady and step-by-step.

The proud mother of two daughters stressed that she cannot build her children’s future on anything “dirty,” insisting her name and reputation remain clean.

Sending a strong message to aspiring actresses, Kemity urged them not to be deceived by social media pressure or industry myths. Her advice? Talent, consistency, discipline, and hard work are enough to make it—no shortcuts required.

From humble beginnings to buying cars for herself and her students earlier this year, Kemity says every win is proof that sweat and faith still pay.
