“Respect Power Rotation” — Maharaj Ji Calls On Northern Elders To Stop Atiku, Others From Contesting In 2027

Founder of the One Love Family and spiritual leader, Satguru Maharaj Ji, has urged former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and other northern politicians to stay out of the 2027 presidential race, insisting that the South should be allowed to complete an eight-year tenure in power.

Maharaj Ji made the call in a statement, warning that any attempt by Atiku or other northern political figures to contest the presidency in 2027 could undermine the North-South political understanding that has shaped Nigeria’s recent power rotation arrangement.

According to him, the same patience and political support extended to the North during the eight-year administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari should also be given to President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

“The South must be allowed to complete its eight-year duration in Aso Rock like the North did in respect of the immediate past Buhari administration,” he stated.

Maharaj Ji argued that respecting the rotational arrangement would help strengthen national unity, political fairness and stability ahead of the next general elections.

He also called on the Northern Elders Forum and other influential northern stakeholders to prevail on Atiku and other northern aspirants to withdraw from the 2027 presidential contest.

The spiritual leader warned that the silence of northern political elites over Atiku’s alleged ambition could worsen political tension as the country moves closer to the elections.

He further accused some northern elites of contributing to Nigeria’s prolonged political and economic challenges, while urging Nigerians with progressive ideas to unite for national renewal.
