Kenyans react to Onyonka’s home in Kisii

Social media users flocked to the comment section to react to the house, with some also sharing opinions about the senator’s family and politics.

keterwilly5307:

“The current generation may not know that his father, Zachary Onyonka, was a powerful minister in Moi’s government. Dynasties live large. There are many in government today. They are not self-made. Poor Kenyans are very forgetful. But Sen. Onyonka is a good leader.”

AhmedYusuf-c3u:

“The money they looted from Kenyans… his father worked with Moi throughout, and after his father was gone, he joined politics and is now in the Senate. Kenyans, politicians remain politicians. Wake up, guys.”

themiddleastAr:

“Not exactly his home, but his late father’s and mother’s home, so by extension, his. The late Dr Zachary Onyonka was one of the most powerful ministers from Kisii in both Jomo Kenyatta’s and later Moi’s cabinet.”

“This is his personal home where none of the wives lives with him. Same as the other house in Utawala. The wives have their own homes with their children, which Senator Onyonka visits in rotation and keeps his belongings in.”

“Did that guy wait to start cleaning when the visitors arrived? The house is great! Congrats to the owner. Your father played a very big role in my life. My life turned out well because of him. I wish you well.”
