“The Struggle Continues”- Court Grants ₦5 Million Bail To Activist Justice Crack After Tense Hearing

Justice Chidiebere Mark, popularly known as Justice Crack, has appeared before the Federal High Court in Abuja for his bail hearing amid growing public attention surrounding his case.

The social media activist, who was arrested in late April after posting videos criticizing the alleged maltreatment of Nigerian soldiers on the frontlines, was later granted bail by the court.

According to reports, the Federal High Court approved bail in the sum of ₦5 million with one surety who must be a Level 17 civil servant and property owner within Abuja.

Justice Crack is reportedly facing charges linked to alleged cybercrime offences, including accusations of spreading false information and incitement. The charges were reportedly filed following his arrest by security operatives after his viral videos about the welfare of frontline soldiers.

Supporters of the activist insist he is being persecuted for speaking out on issues affecting military personnel.

Outside the courtroom, there was tension as activist Omoyele Sowore and several supporters confronted security operatives over alleged restrictions on access to the hearing.

Sowore accused security officials of preventing members of the public and media personnel from entering the courtroom and also alleged that a lawyer was assaulted during the incident.

The courtroom drama sparked wider conversations online about freedom of expression, judicial transparency, and the constitutional right to public court proceedings in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, supporters of Justice Crack continue to call for his full release, insisting that his activism was aimed at drawing attention to the welfare and treatment of soldiers fighting insecurity across the country.
