- Social media critic VeryDarkMan has sparked reactions online after alleging that some women mobilized for APC activities in Abuja were abandoned without transport fare to return home.
- The activist questioned the promised empowerment, while Nigerians flooded social media with mixed reactions over the incident.
Controversial activist and social media personality, VeryDarkMan, has stirred conversations online after speaking about a group of women he allegedly met in Abuja wearing APC campaign wrappers.
In a viral video, the activist claimed the women were stranded in the Federal Capital Territory after allegedly being mobilized for political activities without adequate arrangements for their return transportation.
According to him, he doubted the women genuinely supported the ruling APC administration, insisting many of them were likely participating because of financial promises.
He said:
“I met these APC women. I knew there was no way these women were putting on APC wrapper because they love Tinubu and APC. Now they are stranded in Abuja because they don’t have transportation fare to go back home after you have used them for campaign… Where is the empowerment you promised them?”
The statement quickly generated heated reactions across social media platforms.
Reacting to the video, X user @Dr_EM_platform wrote:
“Nothing good comes from APC.. if you support APC to defend yourself most times go just dey shame you.”
Another user, @REALMATTERS, commented:
“The more we learn to be realistic and make people accountable for their actions the less work we have to a New possible Nigeria.”
However, some users criticized VeryDarkMan for getting involved in the matter.
@Buddyvic1 wrote:
“This shouldn’t be his problem, if they like they should be stranded in the bush. They got what they are looking for.”
Another user, @MariaHarris984, questioned whether the activist eventually assisted the women.
“I hope he didn’t help them?”
