Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has stirred fresh reactions online after resurfacing an old 2024 post about Rivers politician Kingsley Chinda amid the ongoing political tension in Rivers State.
In a recent video making rounds online, VDM accused the ruling APC and allies of trying to “package” Kingsley Chinda as the next governor of Rivers State, while also blaming President Bola Tinubu and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for the political crisis in the state.
According to him:
“Kingsley Chinda, Wike’s partner in crime is who APC want to package as the new Rivers state Governor? After doing illegal dealings with Wike in Abuja. Tinubu is the cause of all these, he has ruined democracy and this is what Wike is riding on.”
VDM also claimed he had warned Nigerians about Chinda in a previous post he made in 2024, saying recent events were proving his concerns right.
The video quickly generated heated debate across X (formerly Twitter), with many Nigerians sharing mixed reactions over his comments and the state of politics in Rivers State.
Reacting to the clip, X user @kingkhone4real wrote:
“I can see you didn’t learn anything from Justice Crack issue. You will learn the hard way. You think everything is content and clout.”
Another user, @Mr_Sle3m, alleged:
“Tinubu in collaboration with INEC and Wike are not planning election. It will be crazy the level of disgrace Amupitan will dish on 16th January.”
Some users questioned why VDM rarely speaks about politics in Edo State despite being from there.
“This guy dey ever talk about Edo state politics and Governance? Na other states be him problem while him own state dey in mess?” @Olawamiwale_ wrote.
Others, however, supported his criticism of Rivers politicians.
“Why does Wike still have much say in Rivers State uptil now in a Democratic government,” @Ofusco123 asked.
Another commenter, @Sirchigor, claimed:
“VDM no even know the evil called Chinda. He is from Elelenwo, Odani in particular. No single good road or light in his village despite being in Government for years. That man na demon.”
