Young Nigerians looking to be part of global development conversations now have an opportunity to join the United Nations Youth Association-Nigeria (UNYA-NG) as registered members.
The association has released a clear guide outlining how interested applicants across the country can begin their membership process and what is required for approval.
How to Apply for UNYA-NG Membership
Prospective members are expected to submit specific documents for screening and approval. All applications are to be sent in PDF format via the organisation’s official WhatsApp contact.
Applicants must provide:
- Statement of purpose explaining their interest and goals
- Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Only candidates who meet the requirements and successfully pass the review stage will proceed to the next phase of registration.
Important Requirement After Approval
The association noted that gaining approval is just the first step. Successful applicants must also complete their profile on the UN Volunteers portal to qualify fully as registered members.
After this stage, members are required to secure the official UNYA-NG membership portfolio.

- Membership Letter (Printed Copy)
- Membership Identity Card (Printed Copy)
- Official T-shirt
- Official Cap
- Official Plastic ID Card Holder

- Official Envelope and Packaging Bag
These items serve as proof of membership and help identify members during official engagements and activities.
