“You came out in numbers and stood firm” – Ned Nwoko shares video of the massive crowd that supported him amid reports of losing primary election after getting three votes

Nigerian politician Ned Nwoko is seemingly shutting down reports that he had only three votes in his primary election.

Kemi Filani reported that at the All Progressive Congress APC primary for Delta North, in a video circulating online, a man in charge of the primary was seen counting attendees physically for Senator Ifeanyi Okowa and Senator Ned Nwoko.

Supporters of Senator Ifeanyi numbered 6,922, while Senator Nwoko had 3 supporters.

In what seems like a response, Ned shared a video of the massive crowd that came to support him, as he urged the public to wait for the election’s outcome.

He said he felt the presence of people from different wards, local government areas and more. Nwoko noted how they came out in numbers, stood firmly by him, and made their voices heard in a way that leaves no room for doubt.

“I extend my deepest appreciation to the good people of Delta North for the remarkable show of support witnessed across our senatorial district today.

From ward to ward, across all local government areas, your presence was not just seen, it was felt. You came out in your numbers, you stood firm, and you made your voices heard in a way that leaves no room for doubt about where the mandate lies.

What we have witnessed is not ordinary political support. It is a powerful expression of trust, belief, and shared conviction in the future we are building together.

While we await the official declaration from our National Party Committee, the situation on the ground speaks for itself. The outcome, as reflected across the wards, remains overwhelmingly positive and deeply encouraging.

I do not take this show of confidence for granted. It reinforces my commitment to continue to stand for you, to represent you with strength, and to ensure that your voices are never diminished or overlooked”.

On Mother’s Day, Ned Nwoko, had written a note to the mothers of his children, which included Regina Daniels. He extended a heartfelt appreciation to them for their care, sacrifice, and commitment to nurturing the next generation. According to him, their efforts do not go unnoticed, and they remain central to all that truly matters.

Despite being one of the busiest politicians, Ned Nwoko had attended his sons’ inaugural school gala in Abuja. Ned described it as a proud and heartwarming moment to witness the excellence, discipline, and vision being instilled in them. He commended the management and staff for their commitment to raising leaders who will shape tomorrow with integrity and purpose.

Recall that in October, Regina ended things with him citing domestic violence as her reasons for leaving her marriage.

Ned, in a public statement, had attributed the tension to what he described as her “battle with drugs and alcohol abuse.” According to Nwoko, his efforts to help his wife seek professional treatment are always resisted. The senator further alleged that Regina had engaged in violent behaviour at home, claiming she assaulted three domestic staff and destroyed property.
