Entertainer Speed Darlington has voiced strong opposition to the possible re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as discussions around the 2027 elections continue to grow.

In a video circulating on social media, the singer expressed dissatisfaction with the current administration, accusing it of failing to meet the expectations of Nigerians, especially in handling the nation’s economic challenges.

He stated that another four years under the same leadership would be extremely difficult for citizens, describing it as “hell fire” for the country.

Darlington also alleged that President Tinubu does not fully understand the duties of leading the nation, claiming the government appears more focused on generating taxes than improving citizens’ welfare.

Speaking further about the “City Boy” movement, the entertainer argued that many of its supporters are not influential in their communities. He added that rising insecurity has allegedly prevented some of them from returning to their hometowns.

He said …

‘’You are here breaking your neck to become the next President of Nigeria but you are not qualified to be President again. From your first round, we know your second round is going to be hell fire. You entered office, the first thing you did is to remove subsidy, knowing very well that every thing about Nigerian life is attached to petroleum.

My fellow Igbo people and Hausas and Yorubas and other tribes in-between, they pray, begging God to give them excuse to raise price and then you gave them reason, 1000% reason to raise price. Nigerians that are naturally greedy.”

Just tell me, what qualifies you to be President for a second term?

You are not qualified to be President again, You do not know the job, You have not done anything about insecurity in Nigeria.”
