Nafisat Feenah Hammed, the former wife of Nollywood actor Akin Olaiya has reacted to the circulation of documents relating to the dissolution of their marriage, offering her perspective on the circumstances that led to their separation.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, she addressed the controversy and explained why she decided to leave the marriage.
According to her, people do not walk away from happy and peaceful homes without reason, insisting that her decision was driven by experiences she described as painful and difficult.
“Nobody prays to be in a violent marriage,” she said, while reflecting on the challenges she allegedly faced during the relationship.

She maintained that no woman enjoying peace, happiness and fulfillment in her home would willingly choose divorce.
Speaking further, she disclosed that she married the actor despite the age difference between them but claimed that the relationship eventually broke down due to what she described as betrayal.
“I married him despite the age difference, but he betrayed me,” she stated.
The woman also alleged that the betrayal involved a close friend, suggesting that her former husband later went on to marry the same person.
While recounting her experience, she said she had deliberately avoided discussing the matter publicly over the years because of her preference for privacy.
According to her, she was not raised to bring personal and family issues into the public space and had chosen to remain silent despite the circumstances surrounding the end of the marriage.
