Babcock University has warned the public about the circulation of forged certificates falsely bearing the institution’s name, including fake honorary certificates with the non-existent classification of: “First Class Upper.”
The university spoke on the development in a statement issued by its management to newsmen on the circulating documents.
It said it does not issue such documents, noting that the classification: “First Class Upper,” does not exist in its academic grading system.
The institution urged members of the public, employers, and relevant stakeholders to disregard any certificate bearing such claims, describing them as fraudulent and unauthorised.
Babcock University also disclosed that it has commenced legal action against a popular Nigerian comedian and content creator over the alleged circulation of the forged certificate.
