Nigerian Afrobeat singer Davido has taunted Reno Omokri over his reasons for not resuming his duty in Mexico.
Kemi Filani reported that the Nigerian ambassador, in an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, explained why he has not yet resumed at his post. Omokri attributed his delay to the ongoing World Cup hosted by the United States and Mexico.
According to the former presidential aide,
Mexico has not rejected him, stating the opposition is engineering such a narrative.
Reacting to his statement, via his Instagram story, Davido called Omokri a dog and fowl.

His comment has prompted many to praise him for learning Igbo.

Also, in 2024, Davido revealed why he was interested in the Edo State gubernatorial election, as he questioned the police directive for Edo citizens. He declared INEC the most dangerous institution in Nigeria as he admonished Edo indigenes not to bow to them. He noted how he had to fight and rant for the Osun Election to be a success in 2022 and was waiting for Osun 2026.
