Lagos, Nigeria – Nigerian content creator and actor, Jubril Oladapo, popularly known as Officer Woos, has denied viral claims suggesting that he announced the death of fellow comedian and close associate, Broda Shaggi.
The controversy emerged after an X (formerly Twitter) user alleged that Officer Woos had shared an Instagram post announcing the death of the popular skit maker. The claim quickly gained traction online, sparking concern among fans and followers of both entertainers.
Reacting to the rumour, Officer Woos issued a statement dismissing the allegation as false and misleading. He clarified that he never made any such announcement and urged the public to disregard the viral claim.
According to him, the report was entirely fabricated and had no basis in fact. He expressed concern over the spread of misinformation on social media, especially when it involves sensitive issues such as death.
The denial comes amid widespread speculation generated by screenshots and unverified social media posts that falsely linked Officer Woos to the rumoured announcement.
